Agreement reached to deposit the wife’s and children’s grant to citizens accounts this week

GNU Prime Minister and CBL Governor reach and agreement to deposit the children and wife's grant as well as discussed a verity of other issues faced by Libya's banking system

Abdelhamid Dabeiba, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity (GNU), met with Sadiq Al-Kabir, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, in the Cabinet Office in Tripoli.

According to the Government Information Office, the meeting was called to discuss the issue of bank clearance, and it was decided that a variety of measures will be done to address the problem’s consequences for commercial banks.

It was also decided that the grant for the wife and children will begin to be deposited into citizens’ accounts this week.

The discussion focused on the government’s proposal to increase retiree pay and provide the required money before the end of the year.
