Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous military operation condemns GNC coup in Tripoli
The Libyan forces appointed under the military operation of the Government of National Accord (GNA) Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous condemned in a statement Monday the storming of the High Council of State’s headquarters in Tripoli and the coup by the General National Congress on the legitimate political agreement.
The GNA-appointed operation also stated that the defected Presidential Guard had used for itself names it doesn’t possess saying its forces are fighting in Sirte, which is completely untrue.
“The Presidential Guard has got itself in places that don’t fit it as it announced its rejection of the Libyan Political Agreement signed in Skhirat last December.” Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous added in its statement.
“NO forces or parties have the right to plot a coup on the legitimacy of the Libyan Political Agreement and the GNA.” The statement adds, pointing out that the Libyan forces battling IS in Sirte completely reject the GNC coup on legitimacy as it would plunge the capital into chaos and armed conflicts.
Meanwhile, since the Friday coup of the General National Congress on the legitimate institutions in Tripoli, heavy presence of armed groups was seen all over the capital’s neighbourhoods.
