Libya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Tahir Al-Sunni, remarked that the heinous terrorist attack in Sabha that murdered two people reinforced that terrorist hotbeds remained active and exploited the country’s instability.

The Representative stated on Twitter that terrorism has not and will not discriminate against any Libyan person, area, or city, emphasizing that the goal will continue to be to weaken our determination and destabilize the country as it moves toward hope and reconciliation.

Al-Sunni urged a concerted effort to address the true adversary for which Libya’s youth had given their life. He emphasized the importance of being vigilant against foreign intrigue that attempted to sow turmoil, export terrorism, and divide the country into States.

Libya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations highlighted that regardless of the disagreements, the priority must be to maintain Libya’s unity and avoid falling into the trap of division under any given guise.
