Benghazi security commander survives car explosion

Sources from the Libyan – German Hospital in Benghazi said Wednesday evening that the commander of Benghazi security department, Salah Al-Howedi, has arrived in the hospital after he survived an explosion targeting his car in Benghazi’s Hawari area.

According to the sources, a car exploded when Howedi’s car passed on the road.

No details about how serious his injuries are, though.

According to sources, the Benghazi security commander’s car was completely on fire after the attack and there are no details about who was the attacker.

Some media sources said that Howedi rejected to be sacked from his post as commander of Benghazi security department. The order was issued by Al-Bayda-based eastern government.
