Negotiations to reopen the coastal road in western Tripoli is expected to bear fruit, as delegation of several western cities hold talks with prominent military and social figures from Warshefana this week.

“The road will be open in a matter of a week,” A spokesman for a committee made of (16) cities said during a press conference last Thursday.

He added that the talks will focus on mechanisms to secure the road in order to avoid future incidents of kidnapping and such.
