December 24 movment call for direct presidential elections
A declaration on the situation in the country was issued by activists of the Movement on 24 December and called for consideration of the Electoral Commission's adoption of its budget so that it can function
Additionally, the statement urged the government to improve basic services for the populace, to hold elections, and to avoid wasting time on programs that are not permitted during the current phase.
In a previous statement, the movement urged the Presidential Council and the Government of National Unity to expedite the realization of the election demand, to work and prepare with the sincere intention of all those currently at the forefront of the political landscape to hold the elections on time, emphasizing that no additional time should be allowed to pass.
