Three ISIS fighters surrender as clashes persist in Derna
Libyan News
Derna’s Shura Council – a coalition of former rebels – said that three members of the so-called Islamic State including a high-level commander have surrendered today.
“The process was done after two days of negotiations to guarantee their safety,” A source familiar with the negotiations said.
ISIS fighters have been largely driven out of the city of Derna, however they use the high mountains in the eastern coast as a base for their operations.
