Egypt-Libyan border threatened with closure over Tobruk port shutdown
The municipality and elders of Musaid town on the border with Egypt threatened to shut the border crossing in solidarity with the employees and workers of the Tobruk port, which was shut by the eastern government at the orders of the military strongman Khalifa Haftar.
The threat came after many efforts by the townsmen to shut it over bad security conditions.
Meanwhile, the residents of the town expressed discontent with the closure of the Tobruk port as it is an essential venue for them in line with the venue of Musaid border crossing.
Haftar ordered closure of Tobruk seaport for international business and trade, while it kept it open for local business only.
