Egyptian President, Al-Sisi, wants arms embargo lifted for sake of Khalifa Haftar forces
Egypt’s President, Abdelfattah Al-Sisi called on the international community to urgently lift the embargo on arms that is slammed on Khalifa Haftar forces.
On the phone with UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon on Thursday, Al-Sisi said lifting the embargo will enable terrorism fighting to be effective and then all Libyan territories will be secure and at peace.
Earlier last week, Egypt’s foreign minister said on Tuesday clarified that Libya needs to form a unified government before the United States and European allies opt for any military intervention against thousands of Islamic State fighters in the chaotic North African country.
