German Ambassador discussed with Aqila current challenges for Libya
Aqila Saleh talks with the German ambassador about supporting the efforts of the UN envoy
The Speaker of the House of Representatives, (HoR) Aqila Saleh, and the German ambassador to Libya, Michael Ohnmacht, have reaffirmed support for the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya, Abdoulaye Bathily.
This support statement came in a meeting on Thursday at Saleh’s office in Qubbah town where they discussed the latest developments in Libya, according to a statement by Saleh’s media office.
On Wednesday, the German ambassador to Libya Michael Ohnmacht met in Al-Rajma; eastern Benghazi, with Khalifa Haftar.
Ohnmacht said on Twitter that they had discussed a political solution based on the efforts of the UN envoy to Libya Abdoulaye Bathily as the way out of Libya’s current situation.
