Indian IT official abducted in Libya by unidentified armed groups

A Keralite IT official is among a group of people abducted by unidentified assailants in Libya which is reeling under internal war.

There has not been any information about Reji Joseph, a native of Perambra in Kozhikode, for the last four days. However, the relatives have got information that he is safe.

The others who were abducted along with Reji are natives of Libya.

Reji has been working in Libya along with his family for two years. His wife is a nurse there and they have three children. The news of the abduction was passed on to the relatives in Kerala by Reji’s wife who is still in Libya.

Reji’s relatives have contacted the Indian Embassy in Libya. Reji was assigned with a project of the civilian registration authority (CRA).
