Libya beats Cape Verde 1-0 but fails to qualify to CAF 2017

The Libyan national football team won Saturday its last match in the qualification games for the CAF 2017. Libya beat Cape Verde 1-0 and secured the third position in the group with 7 points from two wins, 1 tie and 3 losses.
Even though the Libyan team won the match over Cape Verde, which came second with 9 points, it departed the qualifications round without making it to the CAF 2017, which will be held in Gabon.
Libya now will have to prepare for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers, which it will have to play in Egypt due to the continuation of the FIFA ban on Libyan stadiums.
