Libya leads OPEC production rise in November
Libya’s crude oil output surged by 141,000 barrels per day in November, contributing significantly to OPEC’s overall production increase, according to the monthly oil market report cited by Oil Price.
Total OPEC production reached 26.66 million barrels per day, marking a 104,000 barrel increase from October. The rise was attributed to increased output from Libya, Iran and Nigeria, based on OPEC’s secondary sources.
Libya’s production reached 1.238 million barrels per day in November. The country, exempted from OPEC+ production cuts due to political instability, recently achieved its highest output in 11 years, exceeding 1.4 million barrels per day following recovery from September’s decline caused by field closures during the Central Bank leadership dispute.
