Libyan minister conducts diplomatic visit to Syria

Libya’s Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs Walid Al-Lafi has conducted an official visit to Syria, leading a delegation that included Military Intelligence Director Mahmoud Hamza and Minister of Labour and Rehabilitation Ali al-Abed.
During the visit, Al-Lafi expressed Libya’s support for the Syrian people and discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation in political, economic and security matters.
The delegation discussed plans to enhance diplomatic relations, including the potential establishment of a Libyan embassy in Damascus.
