Libya’s Post and Telecommunications Holding Company (LPTIC) announced the dismissal of Faisal Qarqab from its presidency and the assignment of a new governing body headed by Muhammad bin Ayyad.

The new board of directors includes Khaled Al-Issawi, Khomeni Muhammad Embarek, Fathi Issa Abdul Karim, Hussein Al-Taweelb, Faraj Al-Sayeh, and Muhammad Abu Bakr.

The LPTIC General Assembly received reports on the company’s activities for the past period and referred to several observations regarding the estimated budget and its adoption.

The dismissal of Faisal Qarqab topped social media platforms, especially after a statement by Deputy Prime Minister Hussein Al-Qatrani, who called on Dabaiba not to dismiss Qarqab, saying that his dismissal would be “the last nail in the coffin of the Government of National Unity.”

It is noteworthy that the Libyan Post and Telecommunications Holding Company is the owner of the telecommunications sector in Libya.
