Misurata: Social Affairs Ministry and Red Cross distribute humanitarian aids for Sirte IDPs

The international committee of the Red Cross in Libya in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs have started to distribute humanitarian aids for Sirte IDPs in Misurata.

The head of the ministry’s media office, Jamal Shanisheh, told Press Solidarity that the aids, distributed early Monday morning, included blankets, mattresses, foods, and cleaning material as well as household items.

“The families to receive aids Monday will reach 80 ones out of 1701 displaced families in Misurata.” He clarified.

The distribution if the aids was according to the number of family members, knowing that each family had received one box of foods, one box of cleaning material and one box of household items.

” This is the firs cooperation between the ministry and the Red Cross, and on the coming days, there will be resumption of aids distribution for the remaining families.” Shanisheh indicated.
