Mobile phone networks operating in Sirte after two years of no service

Mobile phone networks and telecommunications have returned to Sirte city after two years of no service in the area.

The loss of telecommunications and mobile phone networks came after IS took control of the city and severed all those services in February 2015.

Sirte has been freed from IS militants in a seven-month operation called Al-Bunyan Al-Marsous in cooperation with AFRICOM airstrikes last year.
