Morocco leads Tunisian date imports

Morocco has established itself as the primary destination for Tunisian date exports, accounting for 19.7% of total shipments in December 2024, according to recent data from the Tunisian Observatory of Agriculture.
The North African nation outpaced traditional European buyers, with Italy securing the second position at 7.5% of exports, followed by Turkey at 6.8%.
The export performance marks a significant milestone for Tunisia’s date industry, with revenue reaching $107 million by the end of 2024—an 11.4% increase from the previous year.
This growth underscores the strong international demand for Tunisian dates, particularly in regional and Mediterranean markets.
