Most expensive falcon sold nets $450,000 in Libya

A young falcon in city of Tobruk (250 miles east of Benghazi city) was sold for two million and 250 thousand dinars ($450,000), which was the most expensive falcon sold in the Arab world, Libyan Express’ correspondent reported.
The falconer succeeded in hunting the peregrine falcon after many attempts of awaiting and anticipation, the bird is known locally in Libya as “Abhariya”, a female flacon (tiercel).
The size of the bird is 16 * 16, and its weight is 1250 grams, and the color of the feathers on the chest side is white; This is what distinguishes the bird.
