Municipalities in western Libya reject Constitution Drafting Assembly’s results
Many municipalities from the western region announced Tuesday their rejection of the results that the Constitution Drafting Assembly’s work committee reached and urged for reconsidering the constitution traits to be molded on Libya’s unity and sovereignty.
They also reaffirmed in their statement that they won’t recognize any proposal that would be based on regional and tribal interests, not national ones, warning that such a strategy would put the country at jeopardy.
The municipalities also announced that they back up the members who boycotted the Constitution Drafting Assembly as they refused the results of the working committee.
