Oil smuggling tanker caught off Zuwara coast

Sierra Leone-flagged Oil tanker was captured in the Libyan waters off Zuwara shores while it was heading to Maltese ports, and then it was taken in custody of Tripoli Coast Guard.
The tanker had 9 different nationalities on board, from Ukraine, Turkey and Azerbaijan, one of whom a woman, and it was smuggling about 1.5 million liters of petrol.
Similar incidents were reported by the Coast Guard over the last period as it intercepted a many ships trying to escape with what they could from the ill-managed Libyan oil.
