The Constitution Drafting Assembly members, who are meeting in Oman, have agreed on Tripoli as the capital city of Libya and named the country as the Libyan Republic.

A source, who preferred to remain anonymous, told the press that the CDA members came to terms Friday regarding the capital being Tripoli, Benghazi, in the east, as a headquarters of legislative authority, and Sabha, in the south, to be a a headquarters for the constitutional court.

The source added that this division of power was agreed upon unanimously at the CDA meeting, pointing out that all of the members expressed great happiness over reaching such an agreement that would maintain the unity of Libya and quicken the achievement of the constitution draft.
