Pentagon pauses some Ukraine shipments amid White House strategy review

The Biden administration is reviewing its approach to Ukraine aid funding, according to White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
“The National Security Council has informed me they are evaluating our Ukraine funding strategy,” she stated during a press briefing. “Regarding intelligence matters, I’d direct those questions to the NSC or intelligence agencies.”
Earlier, a Department of Defence spokesperson indicated to Reuters that some military assistance to Ukraine was under review.
The assessment involves examining certain equipment shipments that haven’t yet reached Ukraine, including materials in transit through logistics hubs in Poland.
Director of National Intelligence Avril Haines emphasised that intelligence cooperation with Ukraine continues within established parameters.
