Russia condemns IS attacks on Zliten camp and Oil facilities

Russia condemned Saturday the deadly bomb explosion in Zliten and the IS armed assaults on the oil crescent area around Al-Sidra oil port.
The Russian Foreign Ministry urged, in a statement, all Libyans to stand together in the face of terrorism and extremism within Libya, which poses a threat to the whole middle east, according to the statement.
“We sympathize with the families of the victims in both Zliten and the oil crescent region and we call on Libyans to consider the activation of UN Security Council resolution 2259 of 2015, which calls for unity in Libya, fight of terrorism and boost for economy in the country.” The statement concluded.
Zliten IS attack claimed the lives of almost 60 recruits and injured more than 100 others, who are receiving treatment in different hospitals around the country and in Turkey.
