Salvation Government blames CBL for late salary payment
The Tripoli-based Salvation Government has stated that the Central Bank of Libya bears the whole responsibility for late salary payment of employees and other payments for all of the citizens.
In a statement Wednesday, the SG said the freezing of the bank accounts of the ministries and other government institutions that are financed by the treasury by the CBL led to late salary payment for all of the Libyans and caused shortages in basic life needs.
It denounced the CBL’s procedures that came after it had received the go-ahead for payment of the citizens’ salaries by the Finance Ministry.
