Tauergha Elders reject Al-Thanni proposal for resettlement out of their city
Libyan News
Tauergha Shura and Elders Council issued a statement to reject the endeavours of some parties to resettle Tauergha displaced citizens outside their destroyed city.
The Council’s statement came as a response to Al-Thanni government’s decision that suggests allotting a piece of land to build ready-made houses for Tauergha IDPs in the eastern region, which of course stimulated the rage and anger of Tauergha people in and out of Libya.
“This suggestion was given to us before by previous governments and we rejected it, so we hereby reiterate our refusal of any resettlement of Tauergha people outside their city.” Concluded the statement.
