Head of the GNU and the head of the CBL discuss ways to implement urgent measures to address the Covid-19 pandemic and assistance for the electricity and oil sectors

Abdelhamid Dabeiba, Prime Minister of the Government of National Unity, met with Sadiq Al-Kabir, Governor of the Central Bank of Libya, and his team today to discuss the implementation of urgent economic measures.

The meeting was attended by the Governor’s Adviser, the Director of the Bank’s Department of Studies and Research, the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, according to the Prime Minister’s media office.

The meeting addressed the implementation of a number of urgent measures in response to a variety of issues, the most pressing of which was the Covid-19 pandemic and assistance for the electricity and oil sectors.

Ways to expedite the activation of reconstruction funds to support the country’s affected areas were also discussed.
