Tobruk Notables and Elders accuse Haftar-linked militias of abductions
The Tobruk Notables and Elders Council has issued a statement Thursday accusing Khalifa Haftar’s forces, who have immunity and strong back up by some official parties, of conducting many criminal acts in the city such as abduction, enforced disappearance, and murders.
The Tobruk Notable and Elders stressed in their statement that the Haftar-linked militias are sending the kidnapped persons to illegitimate and illegal prisons in Al-Marij city, where the leadership room of Khalifa Haftar is based.
Meanwhile, there is a lot of angry voices in Tobruk regarding the growing numbers of kidnapping and enforced disappearances that are happening every now and then in the city by some armed groups affiliated with Haftar’s forces.
