Tripoli municipality warns of contamination in city’s shores

The Tripoli municipality has confirmed that there different contamination substances alongshore the city’s beaches.
In a statement on Monday, the municipality said the beaches in Tripoli and the seawater are not healthy for swimming or any other entertainment acts, or even founding desalination stations.
The municipality added that people should only eat fish that have received sufficient amount of heating – grilled fish for example.
“We call on all Tripoli residents to cooperate with the relevant authorities to help preserve their state of health and protect themselves from any stomach diseases due to the current contamination in the sea until we can activate the sewage filtering units.” The statement concluded.
