Tunisia calls for de-escalation following strikes on Iran

The Tunisian government has expressed concern over recent military actions involving Israel and the United States targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing the escalation as a potential threat to regional and international stability.
In an official statement obtained by Libyan Express, Tunisia called for an immediate end to hostilities and emphasised the importance of upholding international law without selectivity.
The statement also referred to the situation in the Palestinian territories, noting concerns about ongoing violence and the portrayal of events in international media. Tunisia reiterated its position in support of a two-state solution, including the establishment of a Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.
It further warned that continued double standards in international relations risk undermining the global system established after the Second World War.
