Tunisian president: Mulberry leaves wither and crumble

President Kais Saied of Tunisia held talks with Prime Minister Sarah Zaafrani Zenzri on Wednesday at Carthage Palace, with discussions primarily focused on preparations for the upcoming Council of Ministers meeting.
An official statement from the presidency, monitored and read by our editors at Libyan Express, revealed that President Saied emphasised the need for comprehensive implementation of legislative reforms. The President insisted that new legislative measures should be executed promptly after their drafting, rather than implemented partially or gradually.
During the meeting, Saied also highlighted the importance of fostering constructive dialogue on national issues and expressed his determination to accelerate the government’s ongoing initiatives and programmes.
This high-level meeting comes as Tunisia continues to navigate through various administrative and governmental changes initiated in 2021. The reforms have been a significant focus of Saied’s presidency.
Official sources from both offices have not provided specific information regarding the detailed agenda for the forthcoming Council of Ministers meeting.
