US reiterates its continued support to HNEC

The US ambassador to Libya, Richard Norland, said that his country continues to support the High National Elections Commission (HNEC), to conduct the Libyan elections scheduled for December 24, in order to ensure the security and integrity of the voting process throughout the country.
Norland emphasized, during his meeting in Tripoli with the head of the HNEC, Imad Al-Sayeh, that Washington: “Will continue to support the efforts of the Libyan HNEC, to ensure the security and integrity of the voting process as an essential part of allowing Libyan voters to individually decide the future of their own country.”
