US special envoy to Libya threatens sanctions on parallel institutions

The US special envoy to Libya, Jonathan Winer, has threatened the parallel institutions that are working outside the control of the UN-backed Government of National Accord in Libya with sanctions as per the UN Security Council’s resolution (2259).
Winer tweeted Monday, “Libya has 1 currency, 1 central bank, 1 government, under GNA. Parallel institutions who act out are at risk of sanctions under UNSCR 2259.”
