Tripoli Field Hospital: Three killed, six injured in Libyan capital’s heavy clashes

Sources from the local media in Libya reported the Tripoli Field Hospital as saying that three people were killed and over six others were injured in the clashes around Mitiga Airport in Tripoli.

According to the sources, a civilian was killed among the three reported by the hospital.

The clashes erupted between a brigade from Tajura district and the Special Deterrent Force that is in charge of the Airport Security.

Flights to and from the airport in Tripoli were suspended and Afriqiyah Airways announced suspension of all flights from the Mitiga airport until the clashes stop.

According to social media, all schools returned the students to their homes, the roads surrounding the fight in the beach road and Sooq Jumua as well as Bab Tajura areas were shut down.
