CAF probes Libya over Nigeria match

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is demanding answers from the Libyan Football Federation following Nigeria’s formal complaint about their aborted match.
Nigeria claims their team was unable to play the scheduled game on Tuesday due to “emergency circumstances” at Al Abraq International Airport that disrupted their travel. This information comes from sources at Libyan Express.
CAF has given Libya a deadline of the end of the week to address these allegations. They will then review Libya’s response along with reports from the match observer and security coordinator before making a decision.
A source within the African Union suggests that the Disciplinary Committee will only consider hearings for both sides once all information has been gathered and assessed.
