Facebook blocked in Libya as fighting rages on in Tripoli

Reports from the Libyan capital confirmed that Facebook has been blocked by the Libyan Telecommunication and Technology (LTT) company, which is Libya’s internet provider. 

The spokesman for the LTT Mourad Bilal told local media outlets that Facebook went dwon due to a dysfunction in the international cables’ provider services.

He added that repairing efforts are underway.

Meanwhile, fighting is still raging on in the Libyan capital between two warring armed groups vying for control in the capital.
