Al Ahly Tripoli drawn with AS FAR in Confederation Cup

January home fixtures await Al Ahly Tripoli in quarter-final chase

Al Ahly Tripoli will face Morocco’s AS FAR, Tanzania’s Azam FC and South Africa’s Durban City in Group B of the CAF Confederation Cup, with their campaign beginning away in Tanzania on 27–29 November.

The Libyan side will compete for one of two quarter-final places in the group following Wednesday’s draw in Cairo. The competition’s 16-team group stage comprises four groups, with the top two in each advancing.

Two successive home fixtures in January will give Al Ahly an opportunity to build their points tally before ending the group stage away to AS FAR. They host Durban City on 8–10 January and Azam on 15–17 January, with the final round scheduled for 22–24 January 2027.

Before that, Al Ahly’s first home match will bring AS FAR to Tripoli on 4–6 December. A trip to South Africa to face Durban City follows on 18–20 December, completing the first half of their six-match schedule.
