Rafael Benitez sacked by Everton FC

English Premier League side Everton have fired Spanish manager Rafael Benitez over poor results this season.
“Benitez, who joined Everton in June 2021, has left the Club with immediate effect,” a statement read on Sunday. “An update on a permanent replacement will be made in due course.”
The 61-year-old had replaced Carlo Ancelotti, but Everton failed to meet expectations under his management.
Having lost to Norwich City 2-1 on Saturday, the Toffees could only seal one victory in their last 13 league matches.
They are ranked 16th with 19 points, six points above the relegation zone.
